Pi Network updates SoloHost to expand Node ecosystem utility

Pi Network has released Pi Desktop version 0.6.3, an update focused on expanding the utility of its Node ecosystem through the SoloHost framework. This framework allows Pioneers to run self-hosted applications directly from their computers, moving the project beyond simple blockchain validation into areas like local AI agents and professional workflows.

Key features of the update include a new ranking system for community apps based on active users, a “My Apps” section for developers, and improved Docker Compose support. The update also introduces a readiness probe to ensure app connectivity and a new SoloHost repository structured for easier interaction with AI agents. Additionally, the team has rebranded future releases as Pi Desktop versions rather than Pi Node versions.
