Piacenza center-right calls for revocation of La Ragazzetta contract

Political opposition groups in Piacenza, including Fratelli d’Italia, Lega, and Civica Barbieri-Liberi, are calling for the revocation of the management contract for 'La Ragazzetta'. The center-right coalition alleges that the Monteleone Group, the winning bidder, failed to meet two mandatory requirements specified in the tender documents.

Specifically, the opposition claims the group lacked a required 'risk matrix' and did not include an authorized travel agency within its consortium. They argue that if the rules had been applied strictly, the contract should have been awarded to the second-place bidder, Piacenza Lab.

Further allegations include potential conflicts of interest involving the municipality's general director, Luca Canessa, and concerns regarding the composition of the evaluation commission. The opposition intends to report the matter to the National Anti-Corruption Authority (Anac) and is demanding that the mayor take a definitive stance on the legality of the concession.
