Piacenza launches free training courses for pet owners
The Municipality of Piacenza and the local Ausl have launched free educational courses for dog and cat owners. The initiative aims to promote animal welfare, responsible ownership, and public safety through better understanding of animal behavior and coexistence with the community.
The dog ownership course begins on September 20 and consists of six morning modules held on September 20, October 4, 11, 18, 25, and November 8. The curriculum covers animal welfare, ethology, behavioral development, the relationship between dogs and children, health aspects, and aggression control regulations. A practical session is scheduled for October 25 at the Galleana Park dog area to practice communication and walking management. Participants must be adults, not already possess a certificate, and attend at least 15 hours of instruction to qualify for a final test and certificate.
Registration is available on the official municipality website. Each course is limited to 50 participants, with sessions held at the Salone Pierluigi in Palazzo Farnese.
