Piaggio Group Japan announces Vespa LX V Special Edition
Piaggio Group Japan has announced the release of the Vespa LX ‘V Special Edition’, a special version of its most compact and lightweight LX 125 model. Orders for the new edition are scheduled to begin at authorized Vespa dealers across Japan on October 23, 2026, with shipments expected to commence in November 2026.
The V Special Edition features a vintage-inspired design tailored for modern urban environments. Key upgrades include a newly designed separate-type low seat with a height of 780mm to improve accessibility, white-wall tires, and chrome-finished front and rear racks. It also comes standard with a windshield.
Mechanically, the scooter is powered by a 124cc i-get air-cooled four-stroke SOHC 3-valve engine. Safety and convenience features include ABS braking, an LED headlight, and an instrument panel that combines analog and LCD displays. The model is available in two colors: Aborgente Beige and Materia Grey, with a manufacturer's suggested retail price of 499,950 yen (including tax).
