Piana degli Albanesi begins industrial area redevelopment

Redevelopment works have commenced at the Ponte Rosso industrial area in Piana degli Albanesi, Sicily. The project involves an investment of 1.5 million euros aimed at improving functional, structural, and technological infrastructure to enhance local business competitiveness.

Key upgrades include the maintenance of roads and signage, the installation of a broadband fiber optic network, and more efficient public lighting. The project also emphasizes sustainability through the integration of photovoltaic systems, infrastructure for sustainable mobility, and a new system for the collection and reuse of rainwater.

To improve security and environmental quality, the plan includes the installation of modern video surveillance systems and the enhancement of public green spaces. The initiative is a collaborative effort between the local municipality, the Sicilian regional government, and the Agenzia di Sviluppo del Mezzogiorno.
