Pianist Fülöp Ránki to perform Liszt recital

Pianist Fülöp Ránki will perform a solo recital exclusively featuring the works of Franz Liszt on October 17, 2026. The program explores the diverse facets of Liszt’s compositions, ranging from his more introspective and religious works, such as ‘Sancta Dorothea’ and ‘Assisi Saint Francis Preaching to the Birds’, to his more demonic and virtuosic pieces.

Included in the repertoire are works such as ‘Csárdás macabre’, ‘Mephisto Waltz’, and ‘Mephisto Polka’, which highlight grotesque humor and dark tones, as well as the ‘Spanish Rhapsody’, which showcases technical virtuosity. Ránki is a prominent figure in the Hungarian concert scene and a teacher at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music.
