Piano City Napoli festival to feature 200 pianists

The twelfth edition of the Piano City Napoli festival is scheduled to take place from October 16 to 18. Organized by the Associazione Napolipiano with the support of the Municipality of Naples as part of the ‘Napoli Città della Musica’ initiative, the event features over 200 pianists across 65 events and 16 different locations, including 27 house concerts.

A central focus of this edition is the promotion of young talent through the ‘Piano City OFF’ section. This program allows students from primary, secondary, and conservatory levels to perform alongside nationally recognized professional pianists.

The festival’s musical theme explores the relationship between Naples and the sea, utilizing locations near the Gulf of Naples such as the San Rocco church in Chiaia and the Circolo Ilva terrace in Bagnoli. The musical program will span various genres, including classical, jazz, pop, contemporary, and rock, featuring solo performances as well as ensembles of four or six hands.
