Pianopoli restores century-old Madonna Addolorata statue

In Pianopoli, a small town in the Catanzarese region, a century-old statue of the Madonna Addolorata has been restored to its former glory. The restoration was commissioned by local resident Francesca Casale and carried out by artist Francesco Casale, who performed the work free of charge.

The statue, housed in a niche at the entrance of the town, has served as a landmark for generations. Due to the passage of time and deteriorating colors, the figure required professional intervention to preserve its appearance. The project was authorized by Mayor Valentina Cuda and is viewed as a gift to the community, honoring local traditions and the town's sense of hospitality.
