Pianosi and Nolot win Sardinia Kiteboard Grand Slam

Riccardo Pianosi of Italy and Lauriane Nolot of France emerged as champions at the Sardinia Kiteboard Grand Slam held at Poetto Beach. The competition concluded following four days of qualifying and a series of knockout finals held under challenging Mistral wind conditions, with gusts between 18 and 23 knots.

In the women’s division, Nolot secured the title after a dominant final-day performance. Despite facing difficulties during earlier stages due to heavy gusts, the French rider recovered to win the final race, adding the Sardinia title to her season's collection of European and World championships. Maya Ashkenazi of Israel and Ella Geiger of Great Britain also reached the final.

In the men’s division, local rider Riccardo Pianosi claimed victory on home waters. The competition saw several disqualifications, including Vojtech Koska from the Czech Republic, as athletes navigated the gusty and choppy conditions of the Bay of Angels. This event serves as the final major international fixture of the Formula Kite season.
