Piasco to host Italian national cycling time trial championships

The town of Piasco is set to host the Italian national individual time trial championships on Saturday, October 24. The event, organized by Velo Club Esperia with support from the Italian Cycling Federation and local administration, will feature competitions for the Allievi, Juniores, Under 23, and Women Elite/U23 categories.

The championships follow a tight preparation period after the Italian Cycling Federation officially assigned the event to the club on October 8. The races will take place on the flat and fast circuits of the lower Varaita Valley, with distances of 13 km for Allievi and Juniores women, and 19.7 km for Women Elite/U23, Under 23, and Juniores men.

Velo Club Esperia, founded in 1972, has organized approximately 600 races and achieved over 3,000 victories in its history. The club emphasizes youth development and social integration through sport, having produced professional riders such as Jacopo Mosca.
