Piaseczno residents protest planned data center construction

Residents in Piaseczno have organized protests against the construction of a new data center, citing a lack of transparency and insufficient dialogue regarding the project’s impact on the local community.

While local authorities stated that legal obligations for public notification were met through official government websites and local newspapers, residents and local housing cooperative leaders claim they were effectively kept in the dark. The conflict has escalated to the point where the Mayor of Piaseczno, Daniel Putkiewicz, has committed to organizing a meeting between residents, the investor (Sien Real), and technical experts to address concerns regarding acoustics, water management, and cooling systems.
