Piaseczno residents raise water concerns over new data center

Residents near Warsaw are expressing concern over the construction of a large-scale data center on the border of Piaseczno and Józefosław. The project, led by Sien Real—a company in which Budimex holds a stake—involves the construction of four buildings, each approximately 4,500 square meters, located on Energetyczna Street.

Local community members have raised alarms regarding potential water shortages. The planned facility could require up to 286 cubic meters of water per day, a volume comparable to the daily consumption of a residential estate housing 2,000 to 3,000 people. Residents report that the area already experiences issues with low water pressure and scarcity, leading to fears that the data center's cooling requirements will exacerbate existing local shortages.
