Piatra-Neamț Local Council to Approve Final Costs for Water and Sewerage Project

The Piatra-Neamț Local Council has been called to an extraordinary meeting to address several administrative matters, most notably the final financial settlement for a major water and sewerage infrastructure project. Funded through the ‘Anghel Saligny’ program, the investment covers new networks for Petru Movilă Street, Decebal Boulevard, Mihail Kogălniceanu Square, and Traian Boulevard.

The proposed decision aims to approve a final investment value of 14,229,473.85 lei including VAT. This step is required by the Ministry of Development to formally close the financing contract. While the physical works were completed and received in 2024, the administrative closure is necessary to reconcile the final costs, which include 14,036,739.80 lei in eligible expenses covered by the ministry and 192,734.05 lei in ineligible expenses to be covered by the municipality.

Other agenda items for the meeting include local budget rectifications, the repurposing of spaces at the Forest Technical College for the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies, and various partnerships for cultural and sporting events.
