Piauí Civil Police honor K9 Catrina after death

The Piauí Civil Police held a funeral and cremation for K9 Catrina, the first police dog to serve within the state's Civil Police force. Catrina, who worked for the State Department of Narcotic Repression (Denarc), died in the early hours of Wednesday.

During her six-year career, Catrina participated in numerous operations and drug seizures, serving as a pioneer and a reference for subsequent police dogs in the region. The memorial included a police rite involving gunfire to honor her service and dedication to public security.
