Piauí Electoral Court updates voting locations and queue monitoring for runoff
The Regional Electoral Court of Piauí (TRE-PI) has announced changes to voting locations in six municipalities for the second round of elections scheduled for Sunday, October 25. The affected municipalities are Barras, São Raimundo Nonato, Bom Jesus, Redenção do Gurguéia, Guadalupe, and Campinas do Piauí. These adjustments involve buildings near those used in the first round and affect less than 5% of voting sites. In Teresina, no changes were made to voting locations.
To assist voters, TRE-PI is reintroducing the ‘Kiwi’ system, a digital real-time monitoring tool for polling station queues. Developed by Cajuína Lab in partnership with the court's IT Secretariat, the system allows voters to check queue lengths via the TRE-PI website by entering their zone and section number. The service does not require app installation or personal data. Poll workers will update queue status via mobile devices between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM on election day.
