Piauí Military Police announces 1,001 new recruit positions

The Polícia Militar do Estado do Piauí opened a public contest for 1,001 vacancies, comprising 500 immediate soldier positions, 500 reserve slots and a single officer chaplain role. Candidates must hold a university degree, be aged 18‑35 (soldiers) or meet specific clerical criteria (chaplain), possess a valid driver’s licence and meet minimum height requirements. The selection includes racial inclusion quotas for black and mixed‑race applicants.

Salaries start at R$ 4,896.84 for soldiers and R$ 9,793.54 for the chaplain. Registrations are accepted exclusively through the Fundação Carlos Chagas portal until 23:59 GMT‑3 on 22 July. The written exam and essay are scheduled for 23 August in Teresina.

The contest aims to bolster the state’s public security forces and offers a range of benefits such as overtime, night‑shift allowances, and health coverage for personnel and dependents.
