Piauí Military Police Exam Reopened with New Dates and Disability Quotas
The Polícia Militar do Estado do Piauí (PM PI) announced a retification of its 2026 recruitment edital after a judicial decision. The changes reopen candidate registration from 3 August to 4 September, add a specific reserve of 100 positions for people with disabilities, and adjust the overall quota distribution for the soldier (Praça) role to 500 immediate vacancies and 500 reserve spots, with separate allocations for general competition, black or mixed‑race candidates, and persons with disabilities.
The exam schedule was also shifted, moving the objective and essay tests to 6 December 2026. The registration fee remains R$120 for soldiers and R$130 for chaplain candidates, with fee exemption possible for disabled applicants. The organizing body, Fundação Carlos Chagas, will handle applications, medical reports, and any refunds for cancelled registrations.
These updates affect thousands of prospective applicants seeking a career in the state police, including both general and reserved‑category candidates.
