Picasso Museum Málaga hosts Munch-Picasso exhibition

The Picasso Museum Málaga has launched MUNCH-PICASSO, an exhibition that establishes a dialogue between Edvard Munch and Pablo Picasso. The showcase features over one hundred works, including paintings, drawings, and engravings, to explore how both artists contributed to the birth of modern art.

Curated by art historian Paloma Alarcó, the exhibition examines the mutual influences and thematic affinities between the Norwegian and Spanish masters. It highlights their shared use of experimentation and emotional expression to transform artistic language, moving away from traditional representation toward the depiction of internal experiences and obsessions.

The exhibition is organized in collaboration with the Munchmuseet Oslo and the Almine and Bernard Ruiz-Picasso Foundation (FABA).
