Pickleball developments in India include new league and World Cup selection

The Andhra Pickleball League (APL) has launched as a franchise-based tournament held across Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam. Running from August 15 to September 20, the league aims to connect top Indian players with local talent to help Andhra Pradesh develop elite pickleball athletes.

In related national news, 11-year-old Aarin Ballani has been selected to represent India at the Pickleball World Cup in Vietnam. Following a successful campaign at the Junior Pickleball Championships in Ahmedabad, where he secured three gold medals in the U-12 categories, Ballani will compete in the Under-14 squad to test his skills against international competition.
