Pickleball expands with Indian league's digital push and Six Zero's durable paddle technology

The inaugural Indian Pickleball League (IPBL) concluded with the Hyderabad Royals finishing as runners‑up and Mumbai Smashers claiming the title. Hyderabad Royals President Aditthya Ramakrishnan stressed that modern franchises now compete in an "attention economy," where storytelling, short‑form video and fan engagement are as crucial as on‑court performance.

Separately, paddle manufacturer Six Zero unveiled its “Diamond Tough” surface engineering, embedding industrial‑grade diamond particles directly into the paddle’s epoxy layer. Independent tests reported the technology retained up to 95 % of its original surface roughness, promising longer spin durability for players.

Both developments illustrate how pickleball is evolving beyond pure competition toward digital fan interaction and advanced equipment performance.
