Pickleball facilities expand in Tokyo with new specialized venues

Pickleball facilities are expanding in Tokyo through new specialized venues. Japan Pickleball Holdings has opened PICKLR TOKYO TOYOSU in the Toyosu area. The facility features seven all-weather indoor hard courts designed to international standards, including two courts equipped with Wingfield AI coaching technology. The brand aims to establish a community-based model with a goal of opening 30 locations across Japan.

In Shibuya, the NEON PICKLEBALL CLUB has launched as a temporary sports entertainment venue within the basement of the Shibuya Tobu Hotel. Utilizing neon lights, music, and blacklight-reactive equipment, the club aims to attract non-athletes through an entertainment-focused experience. The facility has reported high engagement, with a 65.8% occupancy rate in September and peak weekday evening occupancy reaching 95.6%. The club will operate until the hotel's scheduled closure in February 2027.
