Pickleball Grows in Peoria, Illinois and Paraguay with New Courts and Free Classes

Greater Peoria, Illinois now hosts a network of indoor and outdoor pickleball venues, including Birchwood Park in Morton, Bradley A. Smith Park in East Peoria, the RiverPlex, and several private clubs. These sites offer public courts, drop‑in play, leagues, clinics, and on‑site pro shops that provide equipment for beginners and seasoned players alike.

In Asunción, Paraguay, the Asunción Pickleball Club opened Club Dink, a new facility with five professional‑grade courts. The club is running free beginner classes throughout June, supplying paddles and balls at no cost. Club Dink aims to broaden access, support the country’s first national pickleball team, and position Paraguay as a regional hub for future competitions.
