Pickleball tournaments in Vietnam host charity fundraisers
Pickleball tournaments held in various Vietnamese regions are being utilized to foster community connections and raise funds for charitable causes.
In Gia Lai, the second Banker Gia Lai Open Pickleball tournament brought together approximately 100 athletes, including bank employees and business representatives. The event aimed to mobilize resources to support disadvantaged students at Le Hong Phong Primary School in Ia Ko commune. The tournament, which transitioned from football to pickleball in 2025 to encourage broader participation, featured competitive matches across mixed doubles and women's doubles categories.
Similarly, in Cam Binh, the first annual Pickleball tournament was organized by the local People's Committee in coordination with the Business Association and Women's Business Club. Attracting nearly 100 participants, the event served to celebrate Vietnamese Entrepreneurs' Day and the anniversary of the local business associations. Beyond physical exercise, the tournament functioned as a networking platform for local entrepreneurs and government officials while serving as a bridge for community philanthropy.
