PICO to debut high-end PICO Space Pro XR headset

PICO has announced the upcoming debut of its next-generation high-end XR headset, known as the PICO Space Pro. The device is designed for VR, mixed reality, and spatial computing, featuring a dual-chip architecture that combines a main SoC with a dedicated PICO Silicon chip for tracking and image processing.

Technical specifications indicate the headset will utilize dual 4K microOLED displays with a pixel density of approximately 4,000 PPI and a resolution of 40 PPD. The device is expected to support eye tracking, hand tracking, and various controllers. It will run on PICO OS 6, which aims to support OpenXR, WebXR, and PC VR via SteamVR.

While an initial launch in China was targeted for early September, the release has been rescheduled to the fourth quarter, likely to incorporate software improvements following recent testing. The global release for the Space Pro is expected later in 2026.
