PicPay integrates with ChatGPT to provide AI-driven account access

PicPay has become the first Brazilian financial institution to integrate with ChatGPT, allowing customers to access account data through the AI assistant. Users can link their accounts via a plugin and authenticate using OAuth through the PicPay app.

Currently, the service is limited to informational commands and does not support financial transactions. Available features include checking account and savings balances, viewing pending bills, consulting investments, checking active cards, viewing favorite Pix recipients, and reviewing recent or future transactions. The rollout is being released gradually to the fintech's customer base.

PicPay CEO Eduardo Chedid stated that the company aims to adopt technologies that facilitate daily life, noting that artificial intelligence will play a fundamental role in the financial lives of Brazilians. The company also confirmed that the service complies with the General Data Protection Law (LGPD) and allows users to unlink their accounts at any time.
