Pie Systems Japan has opened its 27th tax-free counter, the ‘PIE VAT Station’, at Mitsui Outlet Park Yokohama Bayside on August 3, 2026. The station functions as an integrated information center for travelers, handling tax-free procedures for visiting tourists while providing local tourism information and promotional support.

The service is designed to support the upcoming transition to the new ‘refund-style’ tax system scheduled for November 2026. By utilizing the PIE VAT app and data-driven marketing, the platform aims to enhance customer satisfaction and boost sales for participating retailers by facilitating seamless tax refunds in 135 currencies and various payment methods.
