Piešťanské Čajky defeat Ružomberok in Tipos extraliga women's basketball

Piešťanské Čajky secured a 57:53 victory over Ružomberok in a dramatic Tipos extraliga women's basketball match held at the Diplomat Arena. The win marks the first league loss for Ružomberok this season.

The game was decided in the final seconds, following a high-intensity performance from both teams. Piešťany coach Peter Jankovič noted that strong defense and a crucial basket with a foul helped his team maintain the lead despite late-game errors caused by pressure. Ružomberok player Terézia Kraislová attributed the loss to small details, including a costly foul, but expressed confidence in the team's ability to improve during the upcoming international break.
