Piešťanské zábaly theatre festival begins in Piešťany

The third annual Piešťanské zábaly theatre festival is currently underway in Piešťany, Slovakia, running from August 21 to August 23. The event features a record-breaking program of 68 theatre and music productions involving over 200 artists.

The festival opened with family-oriented programming, including the musical ‘Takmer pyšná princezná’ by Divadlo bez masky and creative workshops for children. The official opening included a ceremonial parade and the unveiling of a plaque honoring Diana Mórová, the festival’s third ‘first lady’.

Scheduled highlights include autograph sessions with various artists in a VIP zone and a grand finale concert on Sunday featuring Goran Bregović and his Wedding and Funeral Band, alongside performances by Daniel Fischers OJV and the local band Slniečko.
