Piedigrotta Church reopens for cultural tours in Pizzo

The Chiesetta di Piedigrotta in Pizzo has reopened for the ‘Percorsi d’Autore’ event, an initiative organized by the Artigianfamiglia OdV association with support from the Musei Civici di Pizzo.

The event offers guided sensory journeys through the iconic Calabrian monument, focusing on the history and symbolism of its calcarenite sculptures. Led by historian and researcher Carmensissi Malferà, the tours provide insights into the work of masters such as Angelo, Alfonso, and Giorgio Barone, as well as the details of the 1967 restoration.
