Piedmont Aerospace District Gains UK, Germany Partnerships at Farnborough Airshow

At the Farnborough International Airshow, Maurizio De Mitri, president of the Piedmont Aerospace District, emphasised the event’s role in promoting national and international collaboration for the aerospace industry. He announced that the district has recently signed a cooperation agreement with a German aerospace cluster and reached a new understanding with a UK cluster, aiming to involve companies from Piedmont and Britain. The partnerships are intended to strengthen dialogue with industry, access European Union innovation programmes, and deliver technical and economic benefits proportionate to Italy’s investment in aerospace research and development.

De Mitri highlighted that such collaboration is essential for securing returns from EU‑funded innovation initiatives and for enhancing the technical capabilities of regional companies.
