Piedmont allocates 502,000 euros to Verbano Cusio Ossola nursery schools

The Piedmont Region has renewed funding to support the management and operation of private nursery schools for the 2025-2026 school year. The regional plan allocates a total of approximately 7.7 million euros across all Piedmontese provinces.

In the Verbano Cusio Ossola (VCO) territory, the allocation amounts to 502,287.45 euros, which will be distributed entirely to municipalities partnered with private nursery schools. This funding is part of a broader strategy to support essential educational services, which are viewed as vital for families and for preventing depopulation in hilly and mountainous areas.

To combat the decline of smaller communities, the regional department for Education and Merit has designated 75% of the total budget for schools located in municipalities with fewer than 15,000 inhabitants or in the hamlets of larger centers. To qualify for these funds, institutions must be non-profit, operate on a non-commercial basis, and be open to the general public.
