Piedmont and Civitanova Marche launch initiatives to combat bullying
The Piedmont Region has announced new regional calls to expand educational offerings for the 2026-2027 school year. These initiatives focus on teaching constitutional principles, preventing bullying and cyberbullying, and addressing risks associated with social media, disinformation, and artificial intelligence. New programs include ‘Civica…Mente’, aimed at strengthening civic sense and respect for rules, and ‘Scoprire il Piemonte’, which encourages students to explore the region’s parks and mountains through outdoor activities.
In Civitanova Marche, an awareness event titled ‘Uniti contro il bullismo’ (United against bullying) is scheduled for October 29. Organized by the municipality and the ‘Bullismo No Grazie’ association, the event aims to provide information to parents, educators, and citizens on combating physical, psychological, and digital violence, including cyberbullying, cybershaming, and revenge porn. The program features contributions from various experts, including a sociologist, a criminologist, and a ‘virtuous hacker’.
