Piedmont hosts major cultural festivals in Alessandria and Cuneo
The Piedmont region of Italy is hosting two major cultural festivals throughout October.
In Alessandria, the third edition of Ottobre Alessandrino features a multidisciplinary program including theater, music, literature, and cinema. The festival involves 70 entities and 130 events across 40 locations. This year's programming includes tributes to Umberto Eco on the tenth anniversary of his passing and a feature on Franco Battiato. Cinematic highlights include screenings of ‘Dio Ride’ by Giovanni Veronesi and ‘Franco Battiato – Il lungo viaggio’ by Renato De Maria.
In Cuneo, the Connessioni Festival continues its October schedule following initial free concerts. Centered on the theme ‘The New World Disorder,’ the festival focuses on social changes and current geopolitical situations. The program includes debates, workshops, exhibitions, and performances held at various venues such as Cinema Monviso and Teatro Toselli.
