Piedmont launches domestic care subsidy for elderly and disabled

Starting September 14, residents of Piedmont can apply for the 2026-2027 edition of the ‘Buono Domiciliarità’. This regional social welfare measure is designed to support the costs of family care services for elderly and disabled individuals who are non-self-sufficient.

The benefit provides 700 euros per month for at least 12 months, with the possibility of extending the support up to 24 months depending on available resources. The program is funded by over 20 million euros from the European Social Fund Plus.

To qualify, applicants must have undergone a multidimensional assessment by competent evaluation units and possess an ISEE (Equivalent Economic Situation Indicator) not exceeding 40,000 euros. Additionally, recipients must have activated a family assistance service, which includes formalizing domestic work contracts under specific national collective labor agreements.
