Piedmont Region announces 100% funding for school vouchers

The Piedmont Region has released the school voucher rankings for the 2026/2027 academic year, marking a significant expansion in educational support. For the first time since the program's inception, the region is funding 100% of the admitted applications for Voucher B, which covers textbooks, teaching materials, technology, and school transport.

A total of 76,536 families have been funded through Voucher B, an increase of more than 28,000 beneficiaries compared to the previous year. This expansion is attributed to revised criteria and ISEE (Equivalent Economic Situation Indicator) thresholds; the effective coverage threshold for Voucher B rose to 15,748 euros, nearly doubling the previous limit of approximately 8,200 euros.

Geographically, Torino saw the highest number of beneficiaries with 42,968, followed by Cuneo (8,802), Alessandria (7,190), and Novara (6,837). In the Asti province, 3,892 families were funded for Voucher B and 117 for Voucher A, which covers enrollment and attendance costs. For Voucher A, 3,702 applications have been funded across the region.
