Piedmont Region increases funding for mountain hamlet infrastructure

The Piedmont Region has allocated an additional 934,500 euros to the 2025 Borgate Call, a fund dedicated to the construction and undergrounding of primary networks and utilities in mountain hamlets. This increase raises the total budget for the measure from 2 million to 2,934,500 euros.

The additional resources allow for the funding of all ten projects admitted to the ranking. This includes completing the financing already assigned to the Municipality of Sampeyre and extending coverage to four previously excluded projects: Valchiusa, Roccaforte Mondovì, Igliano, and Chianocco.

Regional President Alberto Cirio and Councilor for Mountain Development Marco Gallo stated that the funding aims to improve life for residents and economic activities by providing essential services such as energy, telephony, and gas, while helping to combat depopulation in mountain areas.
