Cuneo Chamber of Commerce partners to develop forest-wood supply chain

The Cuneo Chamber of Commerce and four Local Action Groups (GAL) have partnered to enhance the forest-wood supply chain and promote sustainable economic development in the mountainous and hilly areas of the Cuneo province.

An initiative held during the 2026 National Brown Fair focused on analyzing the territory's forestry assets. Research indicates that forests cover approximately 250,000 hectares—about 45% of the territory—predominantly consisting of chestnut and beech groves. Currently, 240 registered forestry enterprises operate in the region, most of which are small and multifunctional. The collaboration aims to strengthen these businesses and leverage the province's natural resources for regional growth.
