Piedras Negras seeks 10.5 million pesos for hydraulic works
The municipality of Piedras Negras is working to secure up to 10.5 million pesos for hydraulic infrastructure projects through CONAGUA programs. Alexis González, director of Ecology and Urban Image, stated that while the payment process for the Water Rights Program (PRODERA) is currently stalled, the funds have already been dispersed within the SAT system.
The administration aims to increase the expected return from the initial 8 million pesos to approximately 10.5 million pesos by incorporating existing municipal works that meet program requirements. Potential projects include the installation of 1,200 linear meters of piping in Las Misiones. The municipality intends to finalize these adjustments before the October 31 deadline to maximize the investment returned to the local system.
