Pienza announces over 5 million euros in public works

Pienza is launching a series of public works projects totaling over 5 million euros. Construction is scheduled to begin between late August and autumn, covering various municipal facilities and infrastructure.

Key projects include:

• Fire safety upgrades at the ‘Città di Pienza’ sports field, costing 95,000 euros.

• Energy efficiency improvements at the ‘Ippolito Nievo’ middle school and municipal gym. This 1.858 million euro project, funded by the Tuscany Region (Fesr) and Gse, involves installing thermal insulation, new window frames, and heat pumps.

• Roadwork and wall consolidation on via delle Mura, with a budget of 320,000 euros.

• Renovations to the gardens in piazza Dante Alighieri, valued at 758,300 euros, supported by regional Fesr funds and municipal resources.
