Pier Figari sues prosecutors and judges for 2 million soles

Peruvian lawmaker Pier Figari has filed a lawsuit seeking 2 million soles in damages against the Public Ministry, the Judiciary, and several high-ranking legal officials involved in the 'Cócteles' case.

The lawsuit targets former prosecutor José Domingo Pérez, senior prosecutor Rafael Vela Barba, and judges Richard Concepción Carhuancho and Víctor Raúl Zúñiga Urday. The legal action follows a failed conciliation attempt on Monday.

Figari, a member of Fuerza Popular, seeks compensation for patrimonial and extra-patrimonial damages, including harm to his reputation, moral damages, and impact on his life project. The claim stems from his previous prosecution regarding alleged illicit campaign contributions to Fuerza Popular between 2017 and 2026, a case that was ultimately archived after the Constitutional Court intervened.
