Pierburg and WEG‑BIBUS unveil new EV charging solutions at Power2Drive Europe in Munich

At the Power2Drive Europe conference held in Munich from 23 – 25 June 2026, Pierburg – a Rheinmetall subsidiary – presented new variants of its curbside charging unit, the Ladebordstein. The product will be offered in a robust cast‑iron version and a low‑profile design, both delivering up to 22 kW for delivery vans, short‑range trucks and fleet vehicles. The system integrates the charger electronics into the curb structure, features IP68‑rated components, a heating system for snow‑free operation, a water‑level sensor, and a quick‑swap module that can be removed via CurbSwap for rapid maintenance.

In the same exhibition, WEG and BIBUS introduced the WEMOB portfolio for the DACH region. The range includes mobile DC charging stations with 30 kW and 40 kW output (single CCS2 connector) and fast‑charge units providing 60 kW or 80 kW with two CCS2 connectors, as well as stationary DC chargers capable of up to 240 kW. The solutions target companies, fleet operators and infrastructure projects, offering flexible deployment for temporary sites, service bays or permanent charging infrastructure. Both companies highlighted the products’ suitability for German cities and broader European markets.
