Actor Pierce Brosnan and his wife, Keely Shaye Smith, are preparing to leave their $100 million oceanfront estate in Malibu after more than two decades. Brosnan cited concerns regarding the volatile California coastline, specifically the constant threat of devastating wildfires and earthquakes.

Brosnan noted that the proximity to a fault line and the history of fires in the area have created an underlying sense of unease. The region was recently impacted by catastrophic Los Angeles wildfires in January 2025. The actor also mentioned the high costs associated with maintaining the sprawling compound.
