Pierce O'Leary Defends IBO Super-Lightweight Title at Dublin's 3Arena

Pierce O'Leary will make his first defense of the IBO world super‑lightweight title against British challenger Mark Chamberlain on 1 August 2026 at Dublin’s 3Arena. The bout heads the Queensberry Promotions "No Turning Back" card and will be streamed live on DAZN. O'Leary entered the championship with a perfect 19‑0 record after stopping Maxi Hughes in March to claim the vacant title. Chamberlain, who missed a previously scheduled March meeting due to illness, now receives his long‑awaited opportunity.

The Irish champion, managed by Brian Peters, says he wants to follow the path set by Katie Taylor, hoping to headline future events at Croke Park. "When Katie retires I think I’ll be the one to step in and fulfil the spot," O'Leary said, adding that his goal is to become the people's champion and bring big‑stage boxing back to Ireland.
