Pieria educational authorities launch training and parent support programs

Educational authorities in Pieria, Greece, have initiated several professional development and community support programs. On October 20, 2026, the Directorate of Secondary Education (DDE) of Pieria, along with quality supervisors and educational consultants, conducted in-person training for school principals and school life counselors. The training focused on internal and external evaluation issues for school units.

Additionally, the Directorate of Primary Education (DIPIE) of Pieria announced the launch of experiential Parent Schools in the municipalities of Dion-Olympus and Pydna-Kolindros, starting November 2, 2026. Organized by the Action Team for the Prevention of In-School Violence and Bullying in collaboration with the ATRAKTOS Center, these sessions aim to support parental roles. The curriculum includes topics such as school bullying, emotional development, effective communication, and conflict management.
