Piero Cari sidelined by Alianza Lima due to fitness concerns

Alianza Lima midfielder Piero Cari has not seen playing time during the 2026 Torneo Clausura under manager Pablo Guede. Reports indicate that Guede has not included the 19-year-old in recent lineups because the player is not yet at 100% physical condition.

Cari is recovering from a previous injury and recently participated with the Peruvian U-20 national team. Guede reportedly evaluates the physical status of his players on a daily basis to determine squad selections for each matchday. While Cari saw limited action during the Apertura tournament under former coach Néstor Gorosito, his current lack of minutes has drawn attention from supporters. Cari remains under contract with Alianza Lima until December 31, 2027.
