Pierpaolo Battista to present Quenya-based music at Oxford

Italian musician and composer Pierpaolo Battista will present a musical project based on Quenya, one of the elvish languages created by J. R. R. Tolkien, at the Oxonmoot 2026 international meeting in Oxford.

Scheduled for September 6, the event is organized by the Tolkien Society to celebrate the author's literary universe. Battista will deliver a lecture titled ‘Quenya as an Instrument of Narrative Revelation’ and conclude with a live performance of a musical composition translated into the elvish language. The project explores the relationship between language, music, and myth.
