Pierpaolo Marino named Director General of Serie C side Bari

SSC Bari announced Pierpaolo Marino as its new Director General. The club, recently relegated to Serie C, intends to rebuild its squad and structure under his leadership.

Marino, 54, from Avellino, brings a decades‑long résumé in Italian football management. He helped Napoli win the first Maradona‑era Scudetto and Coppa Italia, served as a senior adviser at Roma, oversaw promotions with Pescara and Udine, and contributed to Atalanta’s rise to European competition. The club quoted its statement: “SSC Bari dà il benvenuto a Pierpaolo Marino che assumerà l’incarico di Direttore Generale biancorosso.” Marino’s experience is expected to guide Bari’s recovery and future ambitions.
