Pierre Gasly praises Steve Nielsen's leadership at Alpine

Alpine driver Pierre Gasly has expressed strong support for Managing Director Steve Nielsen, highlighting his positive influence on the team’s development. While Flavio Briatore serves as the public face of the organization, Gasly credits Nielsen with managing key operations behind the scenes.

Nielsen, a 62-year-old Briton, returned to the Enstone-based team following previous roles at Benetton, Tyrrell, Honda, and Arrows, as well as serving as sporting director for Formula 1 and the FIA. Gasly noted that Nielsen’s extensive experience and rapport with the staff have provided a clear vision for the team’s necessary changes.

Since Nielsen took over the position in September 2025, Alpine has seen a notable improvement in the Constructors’ Championship, rising from last place to sixth place within a year.
