Pierre Gasly struggles with Alpine traction issues in Singapore
Pierre Gasly expressed significant frustration following the Singapore Grand Prix, where technical issues with his Alpine prevented him from scoring points. Despite a strong qualifying session that saw him secure seventh on the grid, Gasly struggled throughout the race at the Marina Bay Circuit.
Gasly reported a lack of traction and power during the race start, causing him to lose two positions immediately to Liam Lawson and Nico Hulkenberg. He also highlighted severe tire degradation, noting that the car's behavior caused tires to overheat and lose grip after only three laps on the street circuit.
While Gasly held tenth place as late as lap 55, rapid tire wear saw him lose significant time to competitors, ultimately allowing Isack Hadjar to overtake him for the final points-scoring position.
