Pierre Lattard launches senatorial candidacy in Haute-Garonne

Pierre Lattard, the mayor of Pouze, has announced his candidacy for the senatorial elections in Haute-Garonne, scheduled for September 27. Leading the list titled ‘La force des territoires, la voix de la Haute-Garonne’, Lattard aims to represent the values of the Republican Right while maintaining political independence.

Lattard’s platform emphasizes the defense of mayors, local communes, and territorial freedoms. He has explicitly stated that his list is ‘neither macron-compatible, nor built on circumstantial agreements,’ seeking to provide a voice for all areas of the department, from rural communes to the Toulouse Métropole.

The candidacy highlights growing divisions within the right-wing political landscape in Haute-Garonne. Lattard’s movement stands in contrast to the list led by Senator Pierre Médevielle, which includes figures from Horizons and Renaissance. Lattard’s team includes several local elected officials, such as Christine Gennaro-Saint and Quentin Duros, aiming to present a list of field-based representatives.
